Welcome to Uwharrie Mountain Home!

It took 4+ hours but Larry, friends, neighbors and a big military winch truck got it placed in our pasture!

We made it!!! The house is in our pasture!!!.I can't say it went off without a hitch, (pintle, that is!) but they got it across.
We want to thank everyone that helped. We couldn't have done it without all of you!

Larry spent many hours designing the equipment, dollys, and hydraulics that would lift the house. After two years of planning and constructing, tearing out chimneys and a ceiling, the house was ready for the move. The path was down a hill, across the road, and up another hill into our two acre horse pasture.

Rhonda shoveled the bricks from the chimney out the window! Rhonda got to help too Larry built most of the equipment in his shop in Ohio
Richard had fun too Bill - our neighbor-he sold us the house Pat and Larry figuring out how to brace the porches
It's in the air! Ready to roll! Early morning

Here's a few videos of moving the house for the first time on top of the hill. Larry spun it around and then moved it off of the site where it stood since 1912.
